latest project by fullnovembermoon
latest project, a photo by fullnovembermoon on Flickr.
Here is my "in-between" project I'm working on until my July Cottage gets here. I have more done under the q-snap cover and I think I can finish it before I start July.

Now for the fun part, we have winners! Using the Random Number Generator the first pull got 27 which is Densie2 for the Prize pack and our runner up (#35) is  Hely who will receive the additional q-snap cover. I will be contacting the winners later today to get their addresses and get these lovely prizes out in the mail next week. Thanks for everyone who participated, I didn't quite reach my goal of fifty comments/entrants so I'll save the book for ANOTHER Giveaway later this summer. I'm off now to pick up MY PRIZE..I'm so excited I participated in the Safari Shop Hop here in Oregon and both I and my best friend won a basket. Have a wonderful Saturday!

June Cottage Progress and a Giveaway!

I've been plugging along on the June Cottage making a few color changes to the original color palette. The house is now red instead of white and has different color frames as well. I think it's a nice change as now it reminds me of a chocolate covered strawberry!

Now if you like my dandy black polka dot q-snap cover and would like one of your own plus some other great stuff I'm having a giveaway! I'm including a pack of DMC Variegated thread, a Bent Creek chart "Harvest" and a hand made swarovski fob made by me! I also want to mention that the Q-snap cover (8x8) is made by a wonderful seller on Ebay trulyin2stitching (not affiliated or recieving anything from the seller just like their stuff!).

To enter please leave a comment including your email, link my giveaway to your blog if you have one and if you like my blog feel free to join up! The winner will be chosen by random number and another person will win just a q-snap cover as a runner up giveaway. Spread the word! You have till June 1st at midnight PST to enter. I'll post the winner June 2.

I wanted to add I've finished my June Cottage and that if I get 50 people to enter I'll add a cross stitch book to the Giveaway pack. You don't have to have your own blog to enter just leave a comment if you don't and you'll be entered. Spread the word and good luck!

June Cottage floss toss

Here is the floss toss for June Cottage, which came in the mail last week. This took a lot of deliberating as I didn't care for the white color of the house. The green window frames and the red to me made it look more like Christmas. I decided to change the house colors almost totally. I'm happy with what I think it'll look like but it might be too drastic! I want to change the house to red with a black roof in addition to changing the window frames. I'll race through this one to get started on the July Cottage. It has just been posted on the Country Cottage Needleworks blog and that one is just adorable. I was really hoping that there would be fireworks and seeing the design I immediatly ordered some blending filaments to make them sparkle. I'm also excited because I'll soon have a giveaway to announce next week. Stay tuned for more on that!

Original colors of the floss toss, DMC 434, 436, 726, 3031, 3033, white, Sampler Baby Spinach and Cresent Colors Ladybug.

Colors I'm using, DMC 436, 726, white, 3371, Sampler Baby Spinach and Crescent Colors Ruby Slippers.

The top red is Ruby Slippers as compared to Ladybug, I much preferred the deeper red, Ladybug had too much pink. I chose 3371 because it was near black instead of 3031 which is more chocolate.

May Cottage Finish!

This one was a blast to do I had so much fun. I loved the little details like the bees and the bee hive. I added satin stitches to the bee hive, and blending filaments to the bees wings to make them sparkle. Other than a few tiny changes this one is pretty much as charted. I can't wait to get June, it's on it's way in the mail this week. Hopefully I can get started on it by Friday.

Some May Cottage progress

Well I made some progress but not going at my usual pace for sure. I have been on a "making fobs" kick and have 12 made so far, 14 if you count the two I am keeping for myself! They are fun to make and I love mixing and matching for different color combinations.
I am not sure where I will end up selling these..either online or possibly at a couple of my local needle shops if they are interested.

May Cottage floss toss and pretties..

First let me apologize for the not so great pictures, I went to use my good camera and the battery was flat. I have that charging now and hopefully will replace these pics tomorrow with some if the sun comes out. I put together my floss toss for the May Cottage and with NO SUBSTITUTIONS..can you believe it? The only changes I'll make on this one is flipping the clouds again and adding some Rainbow Gallery blending thread to the wings of the bees. It's the same thread I used in January Cottage's snowflakes.

What I'm really excited about is my new scissor fobs I've made. Over the last few months I've slowly gathered up some beads in peacock colors to match my scissors. Today I got them together..
